How do I create a new user in Windows?

Windows Vista and Windows 7 users

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Click on Add or remove user accounts.
3. Click Create a new account.
4. Enter the account name you want to use and the type of account. For most accounts, we'd suggest using "Standard user".
5. Finally, click the Create Account button.

Windows XP users

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Open User Accounts.
3. In the User Accounts window click the Create a new account link.
4. Enter the name for the account and click Next.
5. Select the account type. For most accounts, we'd suggest using a "Limited account".
6. Finally, click the Create Account button.
